ECAT (Engineering College Admission Test), conducted by the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), is a prerequisite for admission into various engineering universities of Pakistan. The weightage of ECAT in the admission process for different universities keeps changing and thus students need to keep an eye on it. In order to tackle a competitive exam like ECAT, one must understand the nature of the test. ECAT consists of multiple-choice questions of major F.Sc. subjects including Math, Physics, Chemistry and English.

List of Universities that require ECAT

The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has been conducting the combined Entrance Test for admission into Public Sector Engineering and Technology institutions of Punjab since 1999, in compliance with the directions of the Government of Punjab. As per multiple notifications of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), this entrance test is mandatory for admission into the undergraduate engineering/technology programs of public/private engineering institutions.
